Since 2011 my family and I have traveled to Kenya to be involved in the ministry in Kapsowar.  I have worked as a physical therapist and my wife works as a speech and language pathologist. We both get the privilege to work alongside the missionary doctors who serve there including Dr. Kyle Jones, Dr. Ashley McCurry, and Dr. Bill Rhodes.  Dr. Rhodes is a fellowship-trained plastic surgeon who performs cleft palate and lip surgeries, contracture releases as well as all kinds of orthopedic surgeries.  In an effort to better serve those at the hospital and to create a lasting rehab program, we have been asked to help in the development of a physio department.  I have been able to bring some of the requested items and equipment when we have traveled to Kenya.  Much of the bigger equipment needs will be purchased in the country if it can be found. If you would like to donate to the purchase of any equipment we will be purchasing a stationary bike, rowing machine, hydro collator with hot packs, ice packs with a small freezer, and an E-stim unit and ultrasound machine.
